This past weekend, we at Super Art Fight had the honor and the pleasure of being a part of the debut of the new Philadelphia-area video gaming convention GameX, which took place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.
Over the course of the weekend, we presented 4 mini-shows, each showcasing a unique bout with Super Art Fight roster members alongside the debuting Bree Rubin!
The results from the matches presented were as follows.
Saturday Show 1: Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi defeated Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz
Saturday Show 2: Super Art Fight Champion Michael Bracco defeated Chris Impink in a non-title bout.
Sunday Show 1: Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz defeated Super Art Fight Champion Michael Bracco in a non-title bout
Sunday Show 2: Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi defeated Chris Impink and Bree Rubin in a triple threat bout.
You may note that Michael Bracco suffered his first defeat since his debut against Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz. While these “road shows” don’t effect official standings, they certainly help our artists in petitioning for a title shot. Should be interesting to see what happens on the road to Super Art Fight 6.
A big thanks to the gang at GameX for having us out (Tristin Hightower and Keith Kozak in particular for their assistance), to Darren Gendron for his help on the live auction art, our artists (in particular, the debuting Bree Rubin) and Dominic from MAGFest for providing live music during our bouts.
It was an honor and a pleasure to debut in the Greater Philadelphia area, and hopefully we at SAF will see you again in 2010.
Speaking of 2010, you may notice the Fan Survey isn’t stickied anymore. We’ve received a ton of GREAT responses, and we look forward to taking them under advisement as we plan 2010!
