April 28th, 2010 — Show Announcements
As the time ticks closer and closer to our Boston-area debut at ROFLCon II this weekend, we at Super Art Fight have been working around the clock to finalize all important details and travel arrangements for this rather important show.
The talent is lined up, the matches are paired and all that is left is to make things happen.
So in the interest in keeping you the fans up to date, here’s what’s going down this weekend at MIT!
THE CARD!
Super Art Fight’s event on Saturday, May 1st as part of ROFLCon is a unique one, placing Super Art Fight veterans against well regarded members of the webcomics community. For the most part, each match features a debuting artist tackling our combative canvas, so the sky is the limit.
The card for Saturday at 2pm is as follows…
MATCH ONE: Super Art Fight Champion Jamie “Brawlin’” Baldwin battles Johnny Wander‘s Yuko Ota in a non-title bout.
MATCH TWO: Chris “Impact” Impink battles Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal‘s Zach Weiner
MAIN EVENT: Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi battles Secret Asian Man‘s Tak Toyoshima
These bouts will be contested under standard Super Art Fight rules, complete with starting topics and the oh-so-feared Wheel of Death (more details later in the post).
In addition, this event will be hosted by your trusty Super Art Fight MC’s Marty Day and Ross Nover, who will be joined by a guest commentator – the creator of Starslip and Chainsawsuit - Kris Straub!
THE CON! sorta.
Normally, this is where we would tell you when and where the convention is, and how to get registered. But, in a rare occurrence, this gathering of all things internet is 100% sold out!
…BUT DON’T YOU WORRY! ROFLCon is streaming all of their panels and events live, RIGHT HERE. Just pop in at about 2:30 on Saturday afternoon, and you can watch our show ABSOLUTELY LIVE, right from your computer!
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED!
As always, we like to get fan suggestions for the Wheel of Death. This show is no different. Leave a comment on the site between now and Saturday morning, and we’ll be sure to add it to the pool of topics for the Wheel of Death!
There are some new talents in the mix, so be sure to welcome them appropriately with some surprise topics!
WHAT ABOUT BALTIMORE?
Don’t you worry. Monday morning, we’ll have the first details of our next headlining show in our home base of Baltimore, MD – and an announcement which will leave you NO excuses on missing it!
So, to recap!
1. Awesome Show.
2. Great matches.
3. Streaming live across the web.
4. Leave your topics.
5. Come back here on Monday.
Good? Good! We can’t wait to rock your socks off!
April 14th, 2010 — Show Announcements

The big event we alluded to earlier in the month can finally be revealed.
We at Super Art Fight are proud to announce our first show in a brand new market, as we make our Boston-area debut at ROFLCon II, Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st at MIT.
Simply put, ROFLCon is the collection of the greatest things across the internet, and it’s an absolute honor and pleasure to be a part of the proceedings.
While the full details are still under wraps for our event that weekend, we CAN share that this star studded event will feature new talents NEVER seen at a Super Art Fight event before, alongside SAF veterans, for a show that will rock Beantown to it’s very core.
The SAF event is scheduled for Saturday, but we will be in attendance all weekend long with the first glimpse of our brand new MERCH line.
More details including bouts and a full talent list to come, but we can confirm the following SAF veterans for attendance that weekend:
- Super Art Fight Champion Jamie Baldwin
- Super Art Fight Co-Founder Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi
- Iron Artist Creator Chris “Impact” Impink
Stay tuned for additional details, but in the meantime, get to ROFLCon’s website and register, they’re down to the last SEVENTY FIVE passes! Don’t get left out of the awesome!
April 14th, 2010 — Show Announcements

Our spring schedule is heating up fast, and the latest announcement is a live mural event on April 23rd at The Metro Gallery in Baltimore.
The Metro Gallery, our long standing home away from home will host us once again, as we do another live mural during the performance of our dear friends THE PROTOMEN!
That’s right, everyone’s favorite Mega Man rock opera will be rocking Charm City once again, and we have the honor of sharing a show with them.
If that wasn’t enough, also hitting the stage that night is Baltimore video game music band favorites Rare Candy.
It’s a 21+ night of awesome – a great way to kick off the weekend for just $8.
Full details are at the Metro Gallery’s website, and if you’re the Facebook type, the official event is here.
April 5th, 2010 — Show Announcements

It’s been a long and cold winter since we sent information out to you, dear Super Art Fight fans, and as spring has finally sprung, we’re pleased to announce 3 new shows on our live events calendar.
In sequential order, we’re gonna rock Ellicott City, New Jersey and Rockville, but this is just the beginning of shows to announce, so let’s just get them out there…
Saturday, April 24th, Super Art Fight returns with a second appearance at CHS Otaku Fest. CHS Otaku Fest was an absolute blast for us to do last year, and if you’ve ever wanted to experience SAF in an intimate setting, there is no else like this one.
Then, Saturday, May 15th-Sunday, May 16th, we make our NEW JERSEY debut as a part of the first annual WildPig Comic-Con. WildPig is getting together an amazing batch of talent for their first ever comic con, and it’s an honor and a pleasure that they’ve chosen us to be a part of their first (of many) successful shows.
Last, but far from least, is this fall’s debut of Intervention, not far from our home base, going on from September 10th-12th in Rockville, Maryland. The brainchild of our dear friend Onezumi, this promises to be a show unlike any other you’ve been a part of, and considering another event occurring that weekend, we promise to pull out ALL THE STOPS.
So there you go…3 big events, 3 awesome Super Art Fight shows. And this is just the beginning. We have some further announcements on tap, and one of them just might leave you rolling on the floor laughing…
