March 28th, 2011 — Show Announcements

To properly track the story of Michael Bracco vs. Bryan Prindiville, you have to go back to Super Art Fight 7.
On that sunny Summer evening, one of the most anticipated bouts was not for a title, but one for pride.
Michael Bracco was fresh off of his loss of the Super Art Fight championship from January in last year. Bryan Prindiville was finally having his first one on one bout.
Two fantastic artists, two amazing styles, two talents truly grabbing the eyes of the fans – and it was a bout for the ages. The packed Metro Gallery was absolutely entranced. Sure, Artscape was going on outside, but to this audience, the action was on the canvas. And on that day, Bracco had his hand raised in victory.
Jump ahead, six months later. Super Art Fight 9. In just that short period of time, Michael Bracco found himself aiming for the SAF title. Bryan Prindiville? Aiming for the number one contender’s slot. And lady luck smiled at them both. Bracco overcame his demons, defeating Jamie Baldwin for the SAF title, becoming champion one year after losing it. Prindiville reached the top of a one year climb towards a championship shot in one of the most infamous bouts in SAF history.
And like so, their fates were again intertwined.
On April 22nd, this will be a battle to watch. Bracco wants to have a lengthy run as champion. Prindiville wants to be at the top. But only ONE person will leave the Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland as the Super Art Fight Champion.
Their battles have run into our traveling shows, splitting their victories 1 and 1 on the road in DC and Frederick, but at Super Art Fight X, there will be only one hand raised in victory. Only one wish will come true. There will only be the champion.
Your Super Art Fight X main event…

Bryan “Silent But Violent” Prindiville

March 28th, 2011 — Show Coverage

Take an amazing blackbox theatre, a sold out audience of hungry Super Art Fight fans and a team of the greatest artists in the world, and you have last Friday’s Frederick debut, as brought to you by Flying Dog Brewery!
A turn away crowd packed the Frederick Cultural Arts Center, as Super Art Fight headed north and presented three bouts, including a first ever Six Person Tag Bout!
Here’s what went down…
ROAD TO SAF X – BRACCO CHOOSES PRINDIVILLE’S OPPONENT
Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz defeated Bryan “Silent But Violent” Prindiville
The war of tweets between Borkowicz and Prindiville erupted in a very special challenge match, the first time these two competitors have ever faced off in an Art Fight! Borkowicz laid down the gauntlet and Prindiville accepted, as the Wheel of Death was thrown out, and each competitor had a list of topics that their opponent was forced to draw. While Prindivile had a great showing last week in DC, he fell to the skills of the veteran “Ghostfreehood”, as Nick Borkowicz had the audience behind him, and eventually had the victory!
FIRST TIME EVER SAF SIX-PERSON TAG BOUT
The Art Alchemy Circle (Tom “Cheeser” Kemp, Colin Smallwood and Shane Acuff) defeated Super Art Fight All-Stars (Chris “Impact” Impink, Jamie “Brawlin’” Baldwin and Kelsey “Killer” Wailes)
Arguably the most anticipated bout of the evening, it certainly ended up being the wildest! For the first time ever, six individuals tackled our creative canvas in a chaotic conflict! While the SAF All-Stars certainly had the deck stacked with talent, featuring a star rookie, a former champion and the Godfather of SAF, the Art Alchemy Circle had one hell of a debut, deftly striking with their art, and bending to the whims of the WHEEL OF DEATH! The crowd certainly loved them too, as after a bout that broke down to ALL SIX competitors drawing on the canvas, the Alchemy crew had their hands raised as the winners. A great bout from all six parties, and as said that evening, the Art Alchemy Circle are welcome back ANY time.
MAIN EVENT – ROAD TO SAF X – PRINDIVILLE CHOOSES BRACCO’S OPPONENT
Michael “Spaghetti Kiss” Bracco defeated Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi
A battle of two SAF Champions, one past and one present, Bracco and Noguchi wrapped up our night in Frederick with a true classic. A prime example of two talents on the top of their game, each artist showed textbook examples of how an Art Fight is to work, and blew the Frederick crowd away with their skills and ability. It was a tight bout down to the wire, but with a last minute surprise WORM, Michael Bracco picked up a much needed win on the way to SAFX in Baltimore on April 22nd!
All and all, it was an amazing night in front of an amazing crowd.
We cannot thank Flying Dog enough for sponsoring the night, the Frederick Arts Council for having us, and finally, to the fans in Frederick, we thank you SO MUCH for selling out the venue.
We heard that some of you were unfortunately locked out of the evening, and for that we are sorry, but if we can say anything, it is this – Frederick, Maryland…we will be back!
March 28th, 2011 — Show Coverage

Friday Night, March 18th 2011 was a pretty amazing night for us at Super Art Fight.
We made our Washington, DC debut in front of a SOLD OUT crowd at the Red Palace, and it was a night many, including ourselves, will never forget.
If you want to remember the magic, or see what you missed out on, our good buddy Fil has placed a gallery of photos from the night online!
Check them all out here!
March 22nd, 2011 — Show Coverage

This past Friday night, March 18th, we at Super Art Fight embarked on our first full live event outside of Baltimore.
Heading an hour south to perform at the Red Palace in Washington, DC, we think it’s safe to say – we’ve found a second regular home, as the entire building was SOLD OUT!
That evening featured an amazing three bout card, with all of the matches leading up to our Baltimore return on April 22nd for Super Art Fight X!
Here’s what went down…
Brandon J. Carr (2-0) defeated Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz (3-7)
The Cards v. Ghosts Battle kicked our DC show off right, with the rookie Carr battling SAF Co-Founder Borkowicz. Both artists truly showed the audience what a Super Art Fight is all about, with stunning art and amazing counters from each competitor, but in the end, only one could win. Surprisingly, it was Brandon J. Carr, who continues an undefeated streak in ranked SAF combat!
Chelsea “Grose Misconduct” Grose (3-1) defeated Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi (1-7)
Another bout that left the audience stunned, this 21+ battle of euphemisms resulted in artwork that will scar our audiences minds for ages to comes. Roosters, cats and even a mantrain made it to the canvas, but in the end, Chelsea Grose found herself back on the winning side of things. Could a title bout be in her future? Stay tuned.
Bryan “Silent But Violent” Prindiville and Jamie “Brawlin’” Baldwin defeated Super Art Fight Champion Michael “Spaghetti Kiss” Bracco and Kelsey Wailes in a ROAD TO SAFX Dream Partner Tag Bout
With more than a month remaining until Prindiville and Bracco square off for the SAF title at SAFX, this absolutely insane tag battle gave fans an early indication of how the fight will go on April 22nd. The big question after this show is, however – will Prindiville defeat Bracco and become a new champion? If Lady Luck winks at him as she did on this past Friday night, there’s a good chance that the SAF title will be around a new waist.
Folks, we cannot thank you all enough for joining us on this past Friday night. You sent us a message loud and clear – you want more SAF in DC, and we PROMISE to deliver.
Additionally, big thanks go to the lovely burlesque dancers who performed between bouts. Thank you to Reverend Valentine, Lizzie Furr and Bunny Vicious for sharing their amazing talents on Friday night.
As for us at Super Art Fight, we roll into Frederick, MD this Friday night (March 25th) and return to Baltimore on April 22nd for Super Art Fight X! See you all there!
March 11th, 2011 — Show Announcements

If you’re new to Super Art Fight, or a longtime fan, you should know that the Wheel of Death controls all.

We’re proud to release the first look at the AMAZING show poster (by our own Nick Borkowicz), and we thank the awesome folks at Alliance Comics for sponsoring the evening. But we figured all that said, we need to kick things up a notch.
We thought to ourselves, how can we make this night special? Well, for it to be truly good, aside from an amazing, stacked series of art fights, we need a great musical guest.
So we gave a call to an old friend.
Joining us at the Ottobar on April 22nd is a true nerdcore legend. Ladies and gentlemen, we are PROUD to announce…

MC LARS!
Tickets are on sale RIGHT NOW at MissionTix.com. If you were at the last show, you KNOW we were painfully close to capacity, so we HIGHLY recommend getting them in advance.

March 6th, 2011 — Show Announcements

On Friday Night, April 22nd, Super Art Fight returns to Baltimore for it’s tenth major live event, Super Art Fight X.
Less than one month earlier, Friday Night, March 25th, we will make our debut in Frederick, Maryland at the Cultural Arts Center. With the Road to SAFX ahead of us, on that night you will see Super Art Fight at it’s best, featuring a first time ever SIX PERSON TAG bout, and the Bryan Prindiville/Michael Bracco feud will continue to heat up as that evening – THEY CHOOSE THEIR OWN OPPONENTS!
Tickets for this all ages show are available now for just $10 by calling 301-662-4190 and will also be available at the door, but believe us when we say that this will be an event for the ages.
What’s on the docket for March 25th? We’re proud to announce the full card right here, right now.
Super Art Fight vs. Frederick Six-Person Tag Challenge
Super Art Fight All-Stars (Kelsey Wailes, Chris “Impact” Impink & Jamie “Brawlin’” Baldwin)
vs.
Frederick’s Own Art Alchemy Circle (Tom “Cheezer” Kemp, Colin Smallwood & and Shane Acuff)
in a new city. In the case of our Frederick show, we’ve really pushed it hard. Giving fans a FIRST EVER six person tag bout, we also get to feature a team of new artists attacking the canvas. The Art Alchemy Circle has been making their name in the Frederick area for sometime with their stunning murals and eye catching live painting events, but they’ve got quite a challenge in our selected team of Super Art Fight All-Stars. With a creator, an amazing rookie sensation and a former SAF champion in the midst, it’s going to be a hard road for Cheezer and company to travel. Who will win? Find out when you join us on March 25th!
The Road to SAFX – Prindiville & Bracco Choose Each Other’s Opponents – Bout 1
Bryan Prindiville
vs.
Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz
As the spectre of SAFX looms in the distance, Prindiville and Bracco want to have their respective advantages on their opponent, in the hopes of weakening them enough to walk away as SAF Champion on April 22nd. So, when it came time for Bracco to choose an opponent for Bryan Prindiville, he not only chose someone who Bryan never had faced in one on one combat, but someone who has had more title shots than anyone on the Super Art Fight roster – NICK “GHOSTFREEHOOD” BORKOWICZ. With comparable styles, growing fanbases, and the tenacity to win strong in both opponents, anyone could win. It’s going to be a bout for the ages!
The Road to SAFX – Prindiville & Bracco Choose Each Other’s Opponents – Bout 2
Michael “Spaghetti Kiss” Bracco
vs.
Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi
It’s another first time one on one SAF bout perfect for Frederick, and it’s a return fire in kind. If Bracco is going to make Prindiville battle a Super Art Fight icon in Borkowicz, it’s only fair that Bracco has to do the same, and there’s no better opponent than the raging flame that is Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi. Bracco and Noguchi last faced off in a four way bout at Super Art Fight 4, a battle that saw Bracco crowned champion for the first time. But on March 25th, it’s going to be a main event for the history books, as our current champion battles our first ever champion. Downtown Frederick will NEVER be the same!
Three amazing bouts, including a first ever six person tag – it’s a show that will leave new fans jaw agape, and existing fans blown away. We cannot wait to make a new home in Frederick, Maryland and we hope you can join us live! The Road to SAFX heats up here, and 2011 will only get crazier!
Big thanks to the Cultural Arts Center for having us out, and Flying Dog Brewery for sponsoring the night’s events.
March 4th, 2011 — Show Announcements

We’ve heard the cries! We’ve heard the pleas!
And on Friday Night, March 18th, 2011, we at Super Art Fight finally make our Washington, DC proper debut, with a full scale, three bout show!
Appearing at The Red Palace, this 21+ event will feature some of the greatest members of the Super Art Fight roster battling in a series of first time bouts, as well as between bout performances from some of the finest burlesque performers in DC.
It’s all just $15, and tickets are ON SALE RIGHT NOW.
So what will you see on March 18th? We’re proud to announce the card IN FULL right here today.
Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz
vs.
Brandon J. Carr
Brandon J. Carr made his Super Art Fight debut at SUPER ART FIGHT 9, immediately making an impact, defeating Caldwell Tanner in an absolutely fantastic bout. However, on March 18th, he faces a much bigger challenge – SAF Co-Founder, Nick Borkowicz. Borkowicz has been making quite a name for himself in the newly established tag team division, but debuting in a new city, we wanted to show DC what a true SAF legend looks like. Can Carr meet the challenge? Find out live!
Chelsea “Grose Misconduct” Grose
vs.
Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi
At Super Art Fight 9, fans were supposed to see the debut of ‘Team Sharktopus’, Jami Noguchi and Chelsea Grose. Grose missed out on the show due to the flu, and despite the replacement in Chris Impink, Team Sharktopus fell to Team Robozilla. Now, the Angry Zen Master is living up to his adjective and wants revenge. Grose has been an amazing competitor in singles competition, but will she be able to defeat an SAF legend in DC? Future title shots and rankings are at stake here!
Choose Your Partner Main Event Tag Bout – Road to SAFX
Michael “Spaghetti Kiss” Bracco & Kelsey Wailes
vs.
Bryan “Silent But Violent” Prindiville & Jamie “Brawlin’” Baldwin
With the main event at SUPER ART FIGHT X looming, SAF officials want to give Michael Bracco and Bryan Prindiville the opportunity to properly size each other up. In turn, a series of “Road to SAFX” challenges have been put in place for our March 18th and March 25th shows. On the 18th in DC, we have the “Choose Your Partner Tag Bout”, where each partner has been given the right to choose their tag partner for a sure to be memorable tag bout. Michael Bracco looked directly back at the Super Art Fight show at Katsucon, where he was taken to the limit by Kelsey Wailes, a noted tag team specialist. In the case of Bryan Prindiville? Given that his normal tag partner (Kelsey) was already taken, he went to Bracco’s Kryptonite – Jamie Baldwin. Baldwin and Prindiville have been on opposite sides of a tag bout before (way back at SUPER ART FIGHT 5), so he knows her skills, and her ability to defeat Michael Bracco is unmatched. The stakes are high, and both Bracco and Prindiville want to weaken each other on the way to their main event on April 22nd. It’s really anyone’s bout, and another wild tag match is the perfect icing on the SAF cake for March 18th.
So what are you waiting for?! GET YOUR TICKETS NOW, and join us as we rock the District of Columbia to it’s very core at the Red Palace on Friday Night, March 18th. BE THERE.
