This past Friday night, March 18th, we at Super Art Fight embarked on our first full live event outside of Baltimore.
Heading an hour south to perform at the Red Palace in Washington, DC, we think it’s safe to say – we’ve found a second regular home, as the entire building was SOLD OUT!
That evening featured an amazing three bout card, with all of the matches leading up to our Baltimore return on April 22nd for Super Art Fight X!
Here’s what went down…
Brandon J. Carr (2-0) defeated Nick “Ghostfreehood” Borkowicz (3-7)
The Cards v. Ghosts Battle kicked our DC show off right, with the rookie Carr battling SAF Co-Founder Borkowicz. Both artists truly showed the audience what a Super Art Fight is all about, with stunning art and amazing counters from each competitor, but in the end, only one could win. Surprisingly, it was Brandon J. Carr, who continues an undefeated streak in ranked SAF combat!
Chelsea “Grose Misconduct” Grose (3-1) defeated Jami “Angry Zen Master” Noguchi (1-7)
Another bout that left the audience stunned, this 21+ battle of euphemisms resulted in artwork that will scar our audiences minds for ages to comes. Roosters, cats and even a mantrain made it to the canvas, but in the end, Chelsea Grose found herself back on the winning side of things. Could a title bout be in her future? Stay tuned.
Bryan “Silent But Violent” Prindiville and Jamie “Brawlin'” Baldwin defeated Super Art Fight Champion Michael “Spaghetti Kiss” Bracco and Kelsey Wailes in a ROAD TO SAFX Dream Partner Tag Bout
With more than a month remaining until Prindiville and Bracco square off for the SAF title at SAFX, this absolutely insane tag battle gave fans an early indication of how the fight will go on April 22nd. The big question after this show is, however – will Prindiville defeat Bracco and become a new champion? If Lady Luck winks at him as she did on this past Friday night, there’s a good chance that the SAF title will be around a new waist.
Folks, we cannot thank you all enough for joining us on this past Friday night. You sent us a message loud and clear – you want more SAF in DC, and we PROMISE to deliver.
Additionally, big thanks go to the lovely burlesque dancers who performed between bouts. Thank you to Reverend Valentine, Lizzie Furr and Bunny Vicious for sharing their amazing talents on Friday night.
As for us at Super Art Fight, we roll into Frederick, MD this Friday night (March 25th) and return to Baltimore on April 22nd for Super Art Fight X! See you all there!
