To properly track the story of Michael Bracco vs. Bryan Prindiville, you have to go back to Super Art Fight 7.
On that sunny Summer evening, one of the most anticipated bouts was not for a title, but one for pride.
Michael Bracco was fresh off of his loss of the Super Art Fight championship from January in last year. Bryan Prindiville was finally having his first one on one bout.
Two fantastic artists, two amazing styles, two talents truly grabbing the eyes of the fans – and it was a bout for the ages. The packed Metro Gallery was absolutely entranced. Sure, Artscape was going on outside, but to this audience, the action was on the canvas. And on that day, Bracco had his hand raised in victory.
Jump ahead, six months later. Super Art Fight 9. In just that short period of time, Michael Bracco found himself aiming for the SAF title. Bryan Prindiville? Aiming for the number one contender’s slot. And lady luck smiled at them both. Bracco overcame his demons, defeating Jamie Baldwin for the SAF title, becoming champion one year after losing it. Prindiville reached the top of a one year climb towards a championship shot in one of the most infamous bouts in SAF history.
And like so, their fates were again intertwined.
On April 22nd, this will be a battle to watch. Bracco wants to have a lengthy run as champion. Prindiville wants to be at the top. But only ONE person will leave the Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland as the Super Art Fight Champion.
Their battles have run into our traveling shows, splitting their victories 1 and 1 on the road in DC and Frederick, but at Super Art Fight X, there will be only one hand raised in victory. Only one wish will come true. There will only be the champion.
