This past Saturday, September 5th, Super Art Fight made its Richmond, VA debut at the super-rad Strange Matter, right in the heart of RVA.

Fans were treated to a full, four-bout Super Art Fight card, featuring all sorts of shocks and surprises, including the crowning of a BRAND NEW Super Art Fight Champion. Read on for the full results.

BOUT #1: GHOSTFREEHOOD defeated FIRST MATE DIJON MUSTARDE
It wasn’t the best of nights for the pirate sensations known as the Gouachebucklers. They felt the pain early on as the SAF co-creator Ghostfreehood defeated the wiley second-in-command known as Dijon Mustarde.

BOUT #2: BARON VON SEXYFUL defeated CAPTAIN SALSA VERDE
The Baron is looking to get his groove back. Coming off of his SAF title loss, Baron Von Sexyful was facing a mighty foe in Captain Salsa Verde. He may’ve vanquished the sea captain in singles competition, but the battle for tag team gold looms high for their respective duos.

BOUT #3: ANGRY ZEN MASTER defeated ROSS NOVER?!
With Daddy Don’t Sleep missing the Richmond, VA show due to a personal emergency, the Angry Zen Master was still looking for a (art) fight. Who did he choose to challenge to artistic combat, but SAF co-host Ross Nover. Ross, who has rarely tackled the canvas since Super Art Fight’s inception, definitely was able to keep up with the decorated veteran, but in the end, the Angry Zen Master’s hand was raised in victory.

BOUT #4: MISS SCRIBBLE defeated RED ERIN
A Red Reign ends in shock, as Miss Scribble took down Red Erin in a heated contest, which had to go to Sudden Death audience decision. Literally fractions of a decibel point separated these two artists, but in the end Miss Scribble gains her second SAF title reign. For those keeping an eye on SAF title stats – Miss Scribble is the 11th SAF Title Holder overall, and Red Erin marks the second champion in a row to lose in their first defense. Is there an SAF Title Curse? Will these two titans clash again for the title? Keep your eyes locked on to SuperArtFight.com for more details.

A big thanks again to Polyon for being our musical guest, the Megadrives for keeping the music going through the bouts, and the attendees and staff at Strange Matter for making it a rad night. We hope to see you again soon, Richmond!
